Walking and Running Groups at GFR
Join a group, be motivated and maintain an active lifestyle. The following walking and running opportunities are open to the public, men and women. No registration required. Just show up!
Note: These groups are unstructured. Therefore, the staff at GFR is not responsible for inconsistent participation. Our suggestion is to meet the people who show up, get to know them and develop workout buddies whose schedules match yours.

Walking
What: sporadic walking group
When: Wednesdays at 5:30pm and Saturday's at 8am
Where: meet at Gallagher Fitness Resources, 135 Commercial St NE
Duration: 1 hour on Wednesdays and 1-2 hours on Saturdays
Pace range: 16-18 minutes per mile
Running
What: sporadic, year-round running group
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30pm
Where: meet at Gallagher Fitness Resources, 135 Commercial St NE
Duration: 45-60 minutes
Pace range: 8:30-10:30 minutes per mile
Running
What: specific workouts, ie. intervals, tempo, hill repeats
When: Wednesdays at 5:30pm
Where: meet at Gallagher Fitness Resources, 135 Commercial St NE
Duration: approximately 1 hour
Pace range: 5:30-7:30 minutes per mile (competitive runners only)
